This is a very simple and easy to assemble 3.3v Arduino Pro Mini shield for the nRF24L01 which uses the mysensors recommended connections (https://www.mysensors.org/build/connect_radio). It also includes pads for an optional 0805 SMD capacitor (4.7uF to 47uF).

In the attached photos, I used a 22uF 0805 SMD capacitor, and I tested each of these boards:

Both successfully communicated with a MySensors Serial Gateway using this project shield connected to a 3.3v Arduino Pro Mini (with voltage regulator removed) and powered by a 6-pin FTDI 3.3v usb-to-serial connection. You could easily power the same configuration with two AA batteries instead. Acceptable input voltage is 1.8v to 3.6v.
